I’ve been neglecting this… hm…

alovefromabove: Followers, Tumblr users… I am asking, BEGGING you, anyone who comes across this post, to please keep that little boy in your prayers. His name is Grayson Everaard, and he’s four years old. When he was two years old he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, and as of last year, he went into remission. Unfortunately, biopsy results have shown that he’s relapsed. The most heartbreaking part about this is that if Neuroblastoma returns, its extremely hard for the child to go back into remission. Gray has already completed his first week of treatments, which will extend into April, when Gray will undergo more testing to see if he is responding favorably. Please keep the healing and comfort of that little boy in your prayers. He’s a strongwilled little guy, and he’s also a fighter. Also, keep Oklahoma Assemblies of God Youth Directors Doug and Jill Everaard in prayer as well, as well as their son Seth. It’s been an extremely hard road, and each and every one of them are feeling the impact of Gray’s relapse; only God can provide the strength, encouragement, and willpower to carry on in this time of need. Prayer Request: I wanted to tell you just how special that cute little boy up there is. His name is Grayson, & a few years ago, he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. This is a malignant tumor that occurs most commonly in children under 5. When Gray was 2, his results came back to show that he was already in stage 4. By the grace of God, this little boy is a fighter! As of February of 2011, Grayson Everaard was free of any cancer cells!

The downside is that Gray isn’t quite out of the woods. Unfortunately, a portion of the tumor in his abdomen had grown & “lit up” according to scan results. It’s unlikely that Neuroblastoma could recur so quickly, but it IS a possibility. Another cause could be ganglioneuroma, a generally benign tumor which could be potentially cancerous as time goes on. 

All I ask is that any reader of this post could please take a few moments to pray for the healing and comfort of this amazing, tough little boy! Also keep Oklahoma Assemblies of God Youth Directors Doug and Jill Everaard, as well as their son Seth, in your prayers, for they need the strength and peace of mind that only the Heavenly Father can provide.
